Nachiket Samant is an Indian filmmaker who is known for his feature directorial debut Gachchi, a Marathi film, and the Hindi comedy feature Comedy Couple, which was produced by Saregama and released on ZEE5 in 2020. His presence on the organisation committee for the Pune International Film Festival introduced him to World cinema, which enabled him to interact with international filmmakers and eventually led to him assisting Marco Amenta, an Italian filmmaker. His next Marathi feature Habbadi, also produced by Saregama, premiered at the opening night of Indian Film Festival of Melbourne, 2020, and is available to stream on Netflix. He is currently wrapping post production on his upcoming Viacom feature, Single Salma, starring Huma Qureshi. Parallelly, he is also working on the second season of Hiccups and Hookups for Lionsgate as a showrunner and director. Nachiket is also developing a romance thriller feature adaptation for Priti Shahani of Tusk Tales.
