Rick Zingale
This Italian-American kid at heart grew up in New Jersey, San Francisco and Los Angeles. Having trained in film acting at college in the City by the Bay, he headed to the City of Angels, where he first ventured before the camera and authored his first screenplay, the rags-to-riches, tragicomic timepiece "Gaetano, the Charming Sicilian" (based on a true story).
After his breakthrough role as none other than an unsavory Hollywood producer in El crac (2014), he went on earning credits as a reliable and versatile character actor while also penning his second spec screenplay, this time the extremely commercial, high-concept sci-fi/actioner "Thunderbolt". While keeping his horizons as a multilingual actor open, Mr. Zingale is now focusing on writing, having penned his third spec screenplay, the zany dramedy "Kentucky Fried Karma," an ongoing series of skits interwoven with a story inspired by the classic "Kentucky Fried Movie."
A native speaker of both English and Spanish, Don Zingale is also decently versed in Italian. He enjoys contact sports, meditation, chess and, above all, an interesting, well-told, well-played story. The kid at heart is still growing up... and strong.
