A graduate of the Paris Institute of Political Studies (Sciences Po) and the ESSEC business school, Jean-Noël Tronc worked for the European Parliament, Andersen Consulting and France's Centre for Strategic Planning before being appointed IT and Internet Advisor to France's Prime Minister from 1997 to 2002. After five years with France Telecom/Orange (2002-2007), in charge of the brand's strategy before becoming CEO of Orange France, he spent three years as Chairman and CEO of Canal+ Overseas, which runs the Canal+ Group's pay-TV business in French overseas territories and internationally, before joining SACEM as CEO in June 2012. He is also Vice-President of GESAC (European association of authors' societies).
