A small village in the Black Forest is afflicted by a gruesome series of murders. Despite all warnings, the village police officer Tanja goes on her own hunt for murderers and she has to find out what the charming country doctor Fabian has to do with the murders.

German artist Kurt Barnert has escaped East Germany and now lives in West Germany, but is tormented by his childhood under the Nazis and the GDR-regime.
