McNally Sagal was raised the middle child of 10 outside of Chicago, Illinois. She is best-known for her role as Margaret Murphy on the hit show Sons of Anarchy (2008) for five seasons. She is also known for many other recurring roles, most notably on Secrets and Lies (2015), The Jersey (1999), Murder One (1995), The X-Files (1993), Chicago Hope (1994), The Practice (1997), and numerous other guest-star roles. She began her career in the Broadway production of Amadeus and worked all over the country in regional theater before moving to Los Angeles. She was a member of the Groundlings' Sunday Show, where she learned everything there is to know about everything. McNally has been married to David Sagal since 1988, and they have three children together.
