Brigitte Tamar
Brigitte, "Gitte," Tamar was born in a small rural Oregon town. Growing up, she was enthralled by scary tales featuring poetic tones and consistently gravitated towards writing darkened narratives. She graduated from Jesuit High School in Portland and attended Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, Texas until she won the title of Miss Oregon USA in 2015.
Once she finished competing in the Miss USA televised program, she received her business degree from Southern New Hampshire University. Then, her MA in Studies of Law from the University of Southern California, followed by graduate certificates in business law and entertainment law and industries.
As an author and filmmaker, she explores the harsh realities of social issues faced by today's generations. This includes the dark outcomes brought on by peer pressure, addiction, homelessness, mental illness, childhood trauma, and abuse. She feels it is essential to share narratives that refrain from sugarcoating the topics society tends to shy away from.
Many of Tamar's published works have been reviewed by critics and production companies, including BroadwayWorld. Her most recent novel, "Hel," released in July 2023, was featured by Mystery Tribune as one of July's best crime and mystery books to watch for.
Also, her most recent children's picture book, "The Lonely Ghost," is a recipient of the prestigious Mom's Choice Award.
